| Adam Internet has sent shockwaves through the broadband community by their latest offering - ADSL with no start up costs.
Scott Hicks, General Manager of Adam Internet said, "We have taken this step to allow people to view Broadband take up as a viable and cost effective alternative to standard dial-up connections". Adam Internet introduced their "UNBELIEVABLE" Turbo-Charged ADSL Deal in early November 2002. The deal has no installation fees or hardware costs and are based on an 18 Month Contract. It also includes 1000 Mbytes of data per week plus free gaming data to GamingSA.com, a very popular gaming community in South Australia. Carl Noutz, Sales Manager of Adam Internet said "Many people do not realise how much their Internet Access is costing them - ADSL means no more engaged signals at work or home and no more phone calls to connect - ADSL is always on". A recent survey showed that many Internet users connect between 3 to 5 times a day, that equates to anywhere from $15.90 to $26.45 per month in phone calls alone. This does not include hidden cost of missed calls, call forwarding to mobiles and message bank costs. ADSL provides speeds far superior to that experienced with normal analogue modem connections. For example, downloading a 1 megabyte files using an analogue modem will take approximately 4 minutes, whereas ADSL can do the same work in either 35 seconds, 15 Seconds or even 5 Seconds depending on the ADSL speed you choose. Adam Internet's offer was initially for the "first 50 customers" but Mr Noutz said "The orders have been very strong, so we are looking at ways to extend the offer beyond the first 50 but are treating it as a first in, best dressed basis". |
