About Adam Internet

Adam Internet is a leading provider of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services to residential, government and business customers in South Australia. With more than 20 years of experience, the privately owned and locally operated company offers a range of competitively priced ICT solutions with unmatched premium customer service.

From its humble beginnings as a Bulletin Board Service in the 1980s, the business has been recognised as one of the State's top 100 fastest growing companies and one of the top 10 largest Internet Service Providers (ISP) in the nation. In 2010, Adam Internet's impressive growth continues, employing more than 150 staff servicing more than 85,000 customers

Executive Chairman and founder, Greg Hicks, along with Managing Director, Scott Hicks lead an experienced team of executive managers. The emergence of an executive management team has been instrumental in Adam Internet's ongoing growth and corporatisation. The business will continue to recruit the best talent in the industry to ensure the best possible experience for its customers.

The organisation has remained at the leading edge of technology and ahead of competition by partnering with key suppliers, returning profits back into South Australia's economy by investing in communications infrastructure, and delivering excellent customer support and value to its clients.

Early in 2010, Adam Internet opened a state-of-the-art data centre, offering co-location, data hosting and disaster recovery services to a market underserved by similar data centre facilities. Located outside the city centre, the Adam Data Centre offers multiple levels of security, power and communications redundancy catering for the data management of small business through to corporate and government entities.

Adam Internet became a licensed Telecommunications Carrier in 2004 and was the first South Australian ISP to deploy a multi-million dollar dedicated ADSL2+ exchange network, providing a super fast broadband choice to the community.

Another significant development from Adam Internet has been the creation of the first metropolitan WiMAX network in Australia. Adam Internet was selected to provide a metro comparable wireless broadband service to customers in broadband blackspots across Adelaide. The project is a major investment for the company, backed by funding from the SA Government's Broadband Development Fund and the Australian Government's Broadband Guarantee Program.

In conjunction with enhanced product offerings, the company has increased its focus on external corporate and government sales. Whilst residential sales continue to be a key market, Adam Internet has appointed a dedicated sales team focused on attracting clientele from small business, corporate and government markets.

The Executive Chairman and Managing Director have a hands-on approach to the business and have created a culture of community commitment and involvement. Not only do management and staff donate money to worthwhile causes, but they also donate their time inside and outside of business hours to work in the community. Adam Internet has supported a variety of charitable causes including the SA Variety Bash, Novita Children's Services' Convoy for Kids, Animal Welfare League, the Adelaide Zoo, and the City-Bay Fun Run.

The organisation's dedication to being the best in its industry is an enduring quality that is supported by a commitment to provide the best products and services to meet customer's needs. Adam Internet has a long history of innovation and is renowned for delivering high-speed Internet services, along with security, reliability, value for money and customer support.
